Anyhow i 'm done almost done with my first year ... who knew there would be a bloody third semester right in the middle of the holidays yeah .. so ... generally our holidays are only starting in February ... FUCK ....
Its been a tough year ... but theres more to come and it i'll definately be harder. I have admit it is kinda fun .. kinda ............
Yeah .. fun when :
(a) at the start of the course because assignments are soooo fucking easy
(b) your designs are liked / appreciated by lecturers
(c) you have a firm design
Other than that then you ' re fucked............. Here are some experience that we students of some 60 ++ students in the class, guided by 4 lecturers ....
In architecture ... there is no right or wrong .... so they say .....
but lemme tell you sumthin .... whispers* your designs ... are always wrong in the lecturer's eyes.
They tell you to do this do that do this do that ...... then you 'll be like ok i 'll work on it ... then you move to another lecturer and they ' ll say noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ....... it has to be this that this that .... Holy Mother of *************** well yeah we get that all the time ... ISNT IT SO MUCH FUN :-)
well everyone would have different perspectives ... its just how you look at things .. i think ...
but Architecture 'is' somewhat fun ... somehow ....
Aight ... here are some of the works from my Year 1 Semester 2
ok so first of all ... i do not have any background in arts or designing and etc.
so my working skills such as designing and my workmanship and etc arent fully developed yet ..
In short ;
I have yet to reach a level that can satisfy anyone :'-(
So .... enough bull shit and here :
From my Year 1 sem 1
Final Task : Dwelling space (outdated ... lol )
concept: horizontal extrusions

From Year 1 sem 2
TASK I : Visceral Artwork
There are 2 sides in the art work
basically we had to go to batu caves search for an issue and come up with and artwork
The theme of the artwork is - Lack of consideration towards the elderly and disabled
urrghhh i duh wana do the symbolizing ... to bad .. :P
Anyway its a group work toghether with Sheels, Mory, Faliq

TASK II : Creating a house for the workers at the batus caves to stay
concept - Vertical extrusions in relation to the site
how it works - have louvers in between the vertical extruded thingys to help improve ventilation and some other stuff i forgot
but anyway the panel thought it was a good design
the only flaw was because the louvers were not completed haha and they said it looks more like
a shrine rather than a hous. Oh well ...
TASK III : A Climber's Clubhouse
Concept - Danger. How? Structure - situated 70 m of ground level (on the peak) and having certain areas of the structure cantilevered
it repetition of similar solid geometry but arranged in a very smooth kinda way in respect of the site.
The structure has layers in the middle picture below ..... why ? WIND SCOOPS
since the structure 's location is at the highest peak of the cliff, there would be an increase in
the wind's velocity......... therefore have the upper hand by channeling the wind to cool the building and helps improve air ventilation ... alot ...
in addition - gives an amazing light an shadow effect + different viewing areas
and then theres some interior light and shadow effect with final 2 pics
